This is how handmade cotto is baked to reach its final shape

This is how the handmade cotto ends its path: with cooking. First of all we need to bake the handmade terracotta, then we cook it and in the end we do a further selection, to send to the market only the best of the best. The next step after the selection is the final packing.

Baking

Fire is the last element called to consolidate the strength and toughness of our handmade terracotta.
When completely dry, the artifacts are arranged on trolleys, using techniques that vary according to the size and the shape of the handmade cotto tiles, and then they are stacked in a wood-burning furnace.
The special arrangement allows heat to enter as it should be among the pieces, giving those peculiar nuances that give character and personality to each different product, so distinguishing the true handmade terracotta.

Cooking

In this step, the heat rises gradually to reach 1000 ° C!
Three full days at this high temperature, and the final product will be an everlasting Cotto!

A final selection

The time for it to cool down, and finally our Cotto can be baked.
Dryland, not yet satisfied, reserves the right to view the final product, piece by piece, choosing only the best and then redirecting it to the sale.

Final Packaging

We care about the package quality too.
The best of production is now packaged with the same care with which it was made, with specific high-quality materials, ensuring a perfectly intact supply even at far distances.
